Once your registration is received, you’ll be invited to meet with one of our enrollment specialists. During this meeting, we’ll take the time to get to know your student, discussing their educational background, learning needs, and academic goals. We’ll review transcripts, discuss course options, and develop a tailored learning plan that meets your student’s specific needs. This is also a great time to ask any questions you may have about the curriculum, teachers, and the overall experience at Ohana Virtual Academy.
After we’ve established a plan for your student, the next step is to explore funding options. We’ll work with you to determine if your student is eligible for Step Up For Students Scholarship funding, which can help cover tuition costs. Our team will guide you through the application process for financial aid, ensuring that you have access to the resources you need to make education at Ohana Virtual Academy affordable.
With funding in place, it’s time to officially enroll in courses. You and your student will select from our wide range of core and elective courses, tailored to their interests and academic goals. Our enrollment team will assist you in finalizing the course selections and preparing your student’s schedule. We’ll also ensure that your student receives any necessary technology, including a laptop or tablet, and confirm that they have reliable internet access. We’ll help you set up a conducive learning environment at home, so your student is ready to learn from day one.
The final step is preparing your student for their first day at Ohana Virtual Academy. You’ll receive login credentials and access to our learning platform, along with a step-by-step guide on how to get started. Before classes begin, your student will meet with their learning coach, who will help them get acquainted with the online learning environment and develop a personalized learning plan. This is also the time to review their daily schedule, set up their workspace, and ensure they are comfortable with the technology.
